Wood Street Guitar Repair is a worker-owned shop dedicated to serving working musicians. The identity was built around a shared commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and tradition, with an emphasis on local pride.
Rather than anchoring the brand to a single style or era, the goal was to create something that could move easily between worlds, from punk musicians to Martin enthusiasts. The shop’s setting in a working-class pocket of West Oakland, surrounded by ginkgo trees, offered a clear point of reference. Those trees informed both the icon and the color palette, grounding the identity in its immediate environment.
