Hand on Heart is a non-alcoholic wine developed for Miller Family Wines, created to challenge the perception that non-alc wine is a compromise. While demand for alcohol-free alternatives continues to grow, the category often leans heavily on wellness cues at the expense of taste, leaving consumers skeptical of the experience.
Hand on Heart is a non-alcoholic wine developed for Miller Family Wines, created to challenge the perception that non-alc wine is a compromise. While demand for alcohol-free alternatives continues to grow, the category often leans heavily on wellness cues at the expense of taste, leaving consumers skeptical of the experience.
The opportunity was to create a brand that felt as credible and considered as a traditional wine, while expressing a more emotional point of view. Developed in collaboration with Iron Chef Cat Cora, the product is rooted in a belief that flavor, balance, and food pairing should remain central to the experience. The name and line “full of heart, not alcohol” establish a clear idea of harmony, aligning with the brand’s focus on completeness rather than restriction. The design draws on familiar wine cues through structure and restraint, while introducing a softer, more expressive symbol that reflects warmth, empathy, and connection.
